Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
AI Consulting is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information, and how we comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Information We Collect
When you use AI Consulting, we collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, phone number, business name, role and the content of your enquiry via our contact form or by phone or email.
During a consulting engagement we may also access business information you choose to share with us — process documentation, system exports, sample records and similar material — for the sole purpose of delivering the engagement. Where that material contains personal information about your staff or customers, we handle it under the terms of our engagement agreement and this policy, and we ask that you provide de-identified samples wherever the work allows it.
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit this website, including your approximate location, browser type, the pages you view and the site that referred you.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange an initial consultation
- Scope, quote and deliver consulting engagements
- Produce audit findings, roadmaps and other deliverables for you
- Provide support and communicate about work in progress
- Send service updates and information you have asked for
- Improve our website and services
- Meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations
We do not use client business information to train public AI models, and we do not submit identifiable client material to third-party AI tools without your agreement.
3. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls limited to the consultants working on your engagement, and regular review of the systems we use. We hold data in Australian data centres where practical. Engagement material is retained only for as long as we need it for the engagement and our record-keeping obligations, and is deleted or returned on request at the end of an engagement.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers (hosting, email, analytics and customer relationship tools) who assist us in operating our business, bound by confidentiality obligations and permitted to use the information only for that purpose. Some of these providers may store data overseas; we take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
5. Confidentiality of Client Information
Consulting work involves commercially sensitive information. We treat client business information as confidential and do not disclose client names, findings or deliverables to third parties without written consent. Any examples or scenarios published on this website are illustrative and do not identify or describe an actual client.
6. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate or out of date, and request its deletion where we are not required to retain it. You may also ask us how we collected it and who we have disclosed it to. Contact us at hello@ai-consulting.au to exercise these rights — we will respond within a reasonable period, and ordinarily within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
7. Cookies & Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website. This involves cookies that collect anonymised usage data such as pages viewed and time on site. We do not use this information to identify you personally. You can opt out via your browser settings or by using Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. The current version will always be available on this page with its last-updated date.
